What to expect

How the conversion works

01

Text, headings & lists

Paragraphs, headings, bold/italic, and bullet or numbered lists carry over cleanly.

02

Tables & images

Tables and embedded images are preserved in the layout.

03

Output text isn't selectable

The PDF is built as page images, similar to a scan — it looks right and prints right, but text inside it can't be selected or searched.

FAQ

About converting Word to PDF

Does this work with older .doc files?+

No — only the modern .docx format is supported. If your file is an older .doc, open it in Word or Google Docs and use "Save As" to convert it to .docx first, then upload it here.

Can I select or search the text in the converted PDF?+

No. To convert entirely in your browser without uploading the file, the PDF is built from page images rather than real text objects — similar to a scanned document. It will look correct and print correctly, but text inside it can't be selected, copied, or searched.

Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?+

Standard formatting — text, headings, lists, tables, and images — converts cleanly. Very complex layouts, custom fonts not available in the browser, or advanced Word features may render slightly differently.

Is my document uploaded anywhere during conversion?+

No. The .docx file is read and converted entirely in your browser's memory — it's never sent to a server.
